Lurker - Successful VBA

I've been a lurker on this board before I ever got pregnant with my 2nd child this spring but it was so helpful in preparing me mentally and emotionally for having the birth I wanted.  My OB was completly onboard with my VBAC plans and I knew the hospital I was delivering to was VBAC friendly, so luckily things weren't as difficult as they could have been.

Yesterday at 35 weeks, 3 days my Team Green Dumpling became a beautiful Baby Girl by VBAC.  This birth was sooo much different than my first. The doctors on shift at the beginning and end just let me labor without any interruption except to check me a total of three times. A repeat c-section was never mentioned, even when baby started having some decels during contractions and my contractions started to spread out.  Before I knew it, okay 13 hours after my water broke, I was doing practice pushes and with in 45 minutes of practice pushes I had my little girl on my chest! It was amazing.

To any of you ladies on the fence or a little unsure of whether or not go with the VBAC, DO IT!  My recovery has been nothing.  I had no tears, I just feel like I ran a marathon so my body is sore but nothing I can't handle and I love knowing that when I go home tomorrow that I'll be able to pick up my 2 year old and cuddle with him, which I wouldn't have been able to do if I'd had a RCS.

Good luck to everyone!

My first born is getting so big! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Here comes Baby #2, my little December Dumpling. BabyFruit Ticker
