I had my 6w2d ultrasound today. I completely lost it on the table before the tech even got started. I was nervous because this was the ultrasound last time that I started measuring behind at, and I knew it was the beginning of the end.
The tech showed us the flicker, which I *think* I saw (through the tears). DH says he definitely saw it. It wasn't strong enough for her to measure, which I was a little bummed about.
I'm still really early, so I know it's completely normal to only see a flicker, and I am thankful that at least we saw something. I keep going back and forth between being elated and over the moon that we finally saw a heartbeat and being terrified that this flicker isn't going to be there next week when we go in.
Also, I was only measuring 5w6d, but the RN wasn't worried at all, since I didn't ovulate until CD 16 (so I would only be 6w0d according to my O date).
I hope everyone else had great appointments today! I know there were/are a bunch of us with big appointments!!

That's great news! Remember also that the measuring they do at early ultrasounds has a margin of error of four or five days -- usually the number will say something like "5w6d +/- 4" which means it could be anywhere in there.

I went in at 6w2d, measuring 6w0d, and it took a lot of dedication from the tech to measure the h/b. She told me if it were a day or two earlier there is no way she would have been able to pick up the h/b. It sounds like you understand that what you saw is normal but I know sometimes it helps to hear it from someone else.

Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270
First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.
JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.
