Do you give vitamin D (or a multi vitamin) to your little one if you are exclusively breastfeeding? My pediatrician recommends it, but I remember my first hating it. We had to switch to formula with the first so the vitamin phase didn't last long. I plan to bf this baby longer and am wondering how many use a vitamin or rely on sun exposure.
Re: Vitamin D
My pedi said a multi-vit is not necessary as long as I'm still taking my prenatals or eating a healty diet. She did recommend Vit D though since most people don't get enough.
We give DS D-Vi-Sol by Enfamil. He loves them actually. I have heard of people giving the Carlson D drops that you just put a drop on your nipple before BF'ing if LO doesn't like the D-Vi-Sol.
Ditto. Now my 8.5 month old just opens her mouth like a baby bird to get her one drop each night. Very easy.
