Poor DD seems to have a constant diaper rash. As soon as one is finally almost cleared up, another one always starts. She had a yeast infection one that lasted about 3 weeks and it is finally a, but now regular rashes keep starting. We've been using cloth wipes, dry time, etc. but nothing is keeping them away. Any suggestions? Do you think it could be something I'm eating? I have been drinking some caffeine pretty much every day, but not a lot. Would that cause it? I feel so bad for her! We've been wanting to try CDs, but couldn't with the yeast infection cream, and I really want to start her out on them with a clear bottom! Do you think the cloth diapers may actually help prevent the rashes if we try them?

Re: diaper rash in sposies, would CDs help?
Maybe? Every baby is different and you won't know until you try it. Our experience is yes, CD work much better with handling rashes, although we've never had a yeast rash. DS is in disposables maybe one day a week (when CD are drying) and he does fine in those (up and up), but I have noticed other disposables cause his skin to flare.
And I wouldn't worry about the caffeine - it's probably more a contact irritation between her skin and the diaper that she is experiencing. If you're really worried, you could try a trial and error with caffeine.
