Last year I personally saw somebody get trampled and it took about 2 mins of her being on the floor for somebody to pull her up from the crowd. People are nuts.
yeah little red... H and and friend and I went 2 years ago for a tv at Nebraska furniture mart... we had a plan that they were going to get the pink slip for it, and 'd go to the registers to wait in line. My H said that some young kid (probably 21 or so) pushed this old lady (probably 60/65) down and just kept running... its like really?!?!? wow... thankfully my H stopped and helped her up while our friend went and got the slip for the tv. Some people... they don't have respect for anyone/thing these days!

No black Friday for us in Canada....Although we have some deals to stop us from going down to the States to shop, they are not nearly as good as your deals.
I avoid Boxing Day like the plague though so I am thinking I would be avoiding it anyway!
Yeah I'm in Canada too. I work retail and last year in my store was actually kind of nuts, we had to call some extra people in. Lots of people check out the sales around here to avoid the rush to the States. Some sales going on around here again this year but my mom and some of my friends are also going across the border. I'm skipping that crazyness completely. I'll be home with my baby
I was talking to my friend that works at Target, and they said that last year they had a guy wanting to get to the register faster, so he was punching people in the face to knock them down and get in front of them...
Im with little red and am going to stay home and spend the day with H and DS

I will definitely not be going shopping in the morning. It's way too early and crazy. We might check out some places in the late afternoon/evening. IMO, that's the best time to go. It's way less busy and you can still find some great deals. All of the most advertised items are already gone at that point, so you just have to go in with an open mind and shop for fun.
My mom and I go every year, and we usually take my dad and DH to be our "pack mules". This year the men are going to stay home with DD, and my mom and I are going alone. The men jumped all over the opportunity to stay home , so we will see how it goes with just the ladies. We've already been looking at the ads online and figuring out what we want and from where.
YES YES YES!!! I love Black Friday I've had trips planned for weeks! It's a holiday inl it's self to me!
I advoid target and Walmart until mid day but sears, lowes, babies r us aren't bad. Oh yeah and cvs had freebees I can't pass on! It's a great experience but door busters at the big stores aren't worth it.
I usually hate shopping. I'm more of a get-in, get what I need, get-out kinda shopper... But... DD needs a couple of bigger diaper covers, so I'm going to watch a few websites that I know are offering Black Friday specials online... so I'm sort of cheating on this one...That will probably be all that I buy though.
My ILs love Black Friday shopping and I had never been until I met my DH. We all went one year and overall it was a good experience. They had a nice routine that made it pretty stress free. I only went one year and even though it went okay I don't think I'll ever go again. Not unless I really needed something and it was an amazing deal.
There are some crazy people out there. Only in America would you see people trample others and punch people in the face for a sale exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have.
I usually have a very early breakfast and then head out for a day of shopping with one of my besties. This year, I don't think that it'd be worth it. i just think it would be really difficult with a 6 month old and DH works all day. I may head out with LO later in the day to check out a couple of stores but definitely no 6am start then all day shopping.
