XP: My girls are here!

Sorry for the delay but things have been more than a little crazy around here!
I checked into the hospital on 11/4 to be induced after being a fingertip dilated for 3 weeks with no change. The girls were born vaginally 67 hours later on 11/7, which was their 40 week due date! It was an extremely long exhausting experience that went nothing like I had planned but ultimately I have two beautiful girls and I did not have to have a c-section. I pushed for 3.5 hours and ended up with an episiotomy which has made healing very slow. I finally was able to drive yesterday for the first time and the girls and I made our first solo trip out of the house to our breastfeeding group. Both girls are nursing like champs.

Emerson Lily born 1:30pm, 6lbs 13oz & Ellis Willow born 2:08pm, 6lbs 9oz

I can't get a picture to post but the picture in my siggie was from their newborn shots this week.
