L&D yesterday

After having regular contractions I ended up in L&D all day yesterday for monitoring. Although my contractions were regular, my cervix was still closed and my FFN test was negative. My dr suspects that I am having BH but has put me on modified bed rest for at least a month. Has anyone else experienced regular BH?

    I get BH pretty much every day.....I ended up leaving work way earlier than suspected b/c they were just getting to be constant (even though they weren't shortening my cervix it was mad uncomfortable and made it hard to teach). They have settled down significantly now that I can just take things more slowly (without having to be on official bedrest), though they are still there....and getting increasingly uncomfortable the farther along I get.

    I get BH sporadically through the day.  Nothing that hurts though.  I have found getting off of my feet to really help.  I hope they slow down for you and that everything went well in L&D.

    I get them both regularly and sporadically, if that makes any sense. They will be timeable like 7 minutes apart for an hour or two sometimes, but then the pattern will change. I have at least a few every hour of every day though (not fun).

    I had the same thing happen though. They have been monitored and I have had a negative FFN test both at 26 weeks and at 30 weeks. cervix check at 28 weeks showed still closed. I know it is frustrating!

    The only thing the L&D nurse was able to tell me is that I have an irritable uterus. "That's not the only part of me that is irritated" is what I said right back at her. I guess it is normal kind of for multiples to have an irritated uterus though since it is being stretched a lot quicker and beyond capacity once you hit about 30 weeks!

    your situation sounds like mine. Since Sunday I have had both regular and sporadic BH. I feel like anything sets them off now so it must be an irritable uterus. My dr said not to be concerned unless I notice anything change beyond what I'm feeling. Did your dr tell you to go on modified bed rest?

    No I am still running my daycare and caring for my kiddos although I am regretting it at the end of every day.

    This exact post happened to me last night.  Went to L&D, cervix closed, FFN test was negative, and now on modified bedrest!  Taking it easy does seem to make them come less so far.
