I'm beginning to think we will never sleep all night again!
DS got his first tooth 2 weeks ago...he used to be a great sleeper, 10-11 hours. Well, now he moans and cries in his sleep and ends up waking up his sister. I'm seriously considering moving them to separate rooms, but that means taking one crib apart to get it through the doorway, so that hasn't happened yet.
DD has a tooth just under her gum, but it hasn't poked through yet, but she is chewing on everything and it's obvious that her gums are sore. She has never been a great sleeper, but she used to sleep 8-9 hours at night. She is a very light sleeper, so DS can wake her up when he's making noises in his sleep.
We are doing Tylenol or Motrin at betime and I definitely notice when it wears off. We have an assortment of teether toys now and do refrigerate some, but they don't seem to care for that too much. When DD wakes up, she's usually up for an hour. I end up nursing them back to sleep and even bringing a baby to our bed b/c I'm so desperate for a little sleep (I know this is a terrible habit and I'll probably be sorry later).
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Teething-sleep deprived mom
Rotate the tylenol and motrin every three hours during the day, ending at bedtime with the Motrin.
Tylenol only lasts up the three hours where, the Motrin lasts six hours.
Hold tight...this will be a memory of the past. Not one to forget, but, a past memory, nevertheless.
Clove oil. My MIL suggested it and we were desperate because DD won't take tylenol. She mixes it with olive oil. it naturally numbs when you rub it on the gums. We did it right before her nighttime bottle. I also like it because you can do it as needed not having to wait a certain number of hours.
GL, we were in that boat for awhile and then we had to get her back out of our bed and into her crib again because she got used to sleeping with us.
