I think I've settled on the diono radianrdx convertible car seat. Hard part done! But it comes in like eight colors.
Should I go with true spring flowery print or a solid color? I want dd to enjoy it and feel like it is hers but do kids really care about the color or their cat seat? Otherwise I'll go with a solid that matches the car. Big purchase so I want to get it right
I can't figure out how to copy/paste a pic or link on my nexus tablet...
Re: car seat: plain or pattern?
Just make sure you check out the different covers in person since they are all made out of very different materials. The blue and red are both slick material and a few, not sure which, are mesh and then there are also the ultrasuedes like our plum and the flora.
NEW PEANUT DUE 7.2017
I have the sunshine kids (what Diono was previously) in a gray/ black pattern and its nice. The materal is kind of silky and easy to wipe down. I went with neutral thinking it would be better should I ever have a boy but now I'm thinking ill likely buy a new convertible for the next one since they are in them so long, DD will probably still be using it.
DD doesn't really seem to care too much about her seat, but I have a feeling she'd get excited over a girly pattern:)
ETA: I just checked the patterns. The one I have is shadow. I'm not crazy about the spring flowers so I'd probably buy either plum or whatever matched my car. When I purchased mine they had a really cute pink floral pattern but I guess it was discontinued.
My vote is to go neutral. Then if you have another baby down the road and its a boy, you won't feel like you have to get a new, non-flowery seat.
