Thankful

On FB everyone is writing how they are thankful for the same stuff, family, kids, in laws...

I'm sitting in the car outside DDs school waiting for preschool to dismiss. The elementary teachers are done and leaving. These ladies are carrying out loads of bags and boxes. Six bags one just carried. That was me, not that long ago. I would have been bringing home school work to try to catch up over the break. I am so thankful that it isn't me! Obviously, I love spending everyday with my kids, but my unexpected thankful for, is not grading papers over break.
Do you have anything other than the obvious that you are thankful for?

    This time last year I could barely walk and I was going back to work after the holiday. I am thankful I have recovered as much as I have and that I can spend this season focused on sharing it with my son and not stressed about how much I have to do with such limited time.

    Ooohh an unexpected thankful post! Love it!

    I am thankful I have lost some...okay, a lot of weight and can stuff my face full of food on Thanksgiving and not feel guilty about it!

    I am also thankful times have changed so Friday will not be hangover city!!

    I am thankful that I am a single woman!  Never thought I'd say that, lol.

    If you told me a year ago that I'd be where I am now...  And I am thankful that Carter opened my eyes and gave me the strength to keep going.

    It's awesome you say that! Like I told you onces /I think haha/ now what matters is Carter and you :smile:

    Me: I'm thankful that H and I could handled be parents and a couple. It was hard cuz when we knew about the pregnancy we barely started going out :facepalm: but even with all the difficulties we have made ot through... and the wait to finally start having "us time" was worthy.

    I'm thankful for those quiet bedtimes when J and I are just looking at each other while I sing to him. Sometimes he's staring off into space, but his beautiful blue eyes catch me sometimes and my heart just melts. Le sigh, I love my boy. Okay, done being mushy!

    I'm thankful that G decided 6:30 is a good bedtime. I'm pretty sure I'd lose my mind without those few hours to myself in the evening.

    Wow, I really love this thread. We all have such wonderful things to be grateful for.

    Becca: Congrats on the weightloss! I'm jealous.

    Sunflower: I am also thankful you are single. You did the best thing for you and your son. You are a strong, beautiful woman and mother!

    Me: I'm thankful for having such a wonderful family and friends. Whenever we visit my fam and friends they treat me like we've never spent a day away. They never hold it against us if we aren't able to visit. They make me feel so loved and wanted. Some of my distant family and friends have  only seen DS like twice but they love him so much and care for him so deeply. Seeing people love my son makes me happier than anything else.

    I'm thankful for God allowing me to renite back with my husband. We've been.separated for now six months we finally came to a.conclusion that.we will work on our marriage. Very thankful!
