I have really, really high cholesterol, I have changed my diet significantly and have been treated with medication for the last 9 months. My cholesterol has come down but the doctors said due to my family history, the odds of it being perfect ever, are not in my favor without meds. With that being said, the cholesterol medication is Pregnancy Class B. (it has been tested on animals with no harm but there is no controlled data for the human) My Doctor of course gave me his opinion but I have the ultimate decision. I know what the FDA says I understand that. What I'm looking for is your opinion.
Its a fat soluble drug and therefore not excreted in breast milk so I could go back on it right after I have the baby, but do I stay on it since I have been on it for 9 months now? Or should I stop taking it until post partum? Whats your personal opinion?? What would you do?

I wouldn't take it and look for natural methods to lower and maybe see a DO.
This!
Absolutely. You will be hard pressed to find ANY class A pregnancy drugs because it is fairly unethical and difficult to do any clinical trials o. Pregnant women. There are no know harms to pregnant women.

My opinion is that class B meds are fine. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy! your baby will be fine.
I had to take class c meds with my last pregnancy and even class c isn't that bad.. it just means there haven't been studies. I had a lot of kidney problems and had to have surgery right after my son was born. Most b & c class meds are fine, the only major contraindications are cancer meds and lithium as far as I know.
