Since being told that I had a positive AFP screen I haven't heard from my midwife. The MFM tells me every time I talk with them they will let her know what we discussed so I guess I was expecting at least one phone call saying she is sorry to hear the news. Am I just being overly sensitive?
Re: am I expecting too much?
I personally don't think you are being too sensitive. She definitely should call in this type of situation. I hope she just hasn't called yet and will.
It would be nice if the doctors, midwives etc. did offer condolences at least in situations like this. I'm sure that some do but not all. After my last loss I called my RE and left a message letting her know but never even got a call back. I had just graduated the previous week and I was kinda hurt she didn't even call. I understand your feelings and it sucks, I'm sorry

I don't think you're being overly sensitive. I think she should call you personally, at least once, in this case. When I had a miscarriage, my OB was great and called me a couple of times to see how I was doing. You shouldn't expect less.
