Orbit vs. Xlpory?

I lovet the features of xplory, DH on the other hand thinks Orbit is a better option. We went to a BBB but the two sales poeple working in the stroller aisle had not clue about either one, because they said they rarely sell those.  We are thinking about going to a another store and hopefully get a knowledgeable SA. But meanwhile has anyone on TB done the comparison between the two?

TIA

Re: Orbit vs. Xlpory?

  • We have the xplory and LOVE IT. My DD is almost 3 and still fits perfectly in it and we will use it with our 2nd DC too. Check out the new versions of the xplory. They have come out with 2 different strollers. I am going to order the new chassis for our xplory seat.

My main reason for LOVING the xplory is the fact that the child is high, closer to you and doesn't have to sit so low. Another is it becomes a high chair when out to eat. We are frequent visitors to Disney World so when we are there, our DD can just roll up to the table and eat right from her stroller!

  • Thank you for your review. If I go with their 2012 model, I should be getting a new one, right? But how do I make sure I have the new one, model numbers would be different?
  • Ok - the Stokke still does their amazing stroller, the Xplory. They also now have the Scoot and Crusi (due out in the United States in February). I believe the Crusi is the one we are going to purchase this time to add to our xplory (the seats are the same). The scoot is a lighter version. Do you have facebook? If so, find Stokke on there. Charlotte is the main person who answers any questions on there. They are wonderful. Customer Service couldn't be more amazing!

  • Thanks for the FB tip. I will check it out.  I am due in May so I definitely can wait till the new products get released in US.
  • I love love love my orbit. It is so easy to move the infant car seat in and out of the car and onto the base. The fact that it rotates makes it really easy to put her in the car seat when the seat is already in the car by just turning it sideways too. It's super easy to open and close. I'm really petite and have no trouble putting the seats or the frame in my SUV. Many times we don't even ask for a high chair when we go to restaurants. We pull the stroller up to the table parallel to the table and turn the seat sideways and its as if she was sitting in a chair next to us. Now they came out with an attachment that easily converts it to a double. I checked it out a couple of weeks ago and it seems awesome. IMO it's such a versatile stroller and worth every penny.

  • I think the Xplory has a great push, but the Orbit is an overall better stroller with more features and ease of use. I'm team Orbit!
