Do you interfere with every argument? Not that mine are really able to argue yet but they will wrestle over toys. I told DH that maybe we should just let them figure it out instead of pulling them apart every time. Obviously I am not going to let either of them get hurt and I am teaching them that they cant hit, push, or kick but I don't think it will help in the long run if we keep interfering.

Am I crazy?

    I used to, but not anymore. They fight over toys a lot. But I've noticed that if I interfere the temper tantrums last a whole lot longer. If I let them fight it out themselves (within reason if course) it gets settled a lot quicker. 

    It works for my kids! I can't be there to break up every fight. If they are hurting each other or being mean, I will step in otherwise I just let them hash it out.

    They don't really fight because E is so much older and has more patience/self control. Our rule is if he grabs something from her and she doesn't cry I stay out of it. If she cries then he has to give it back provided it's something appropriate for her to have. She is not allowed to grab things from him because most of the time it's something she can't have anyway but E will share with her on his own so that's never been an issue. Once they get older I won't intervene unless one of them is

    A. stealing from the other
    B. physically hurting each other
    C. being extremely mean/inappropriate/bullying type behavior

    Sometimes I do have to step in because Oliver is so much older and is being unfair. Usually I tell them to quit fighting I don't pick sides.

    I feel the same as you do, they need to learn to work it out sometimes.  Obviously I don't let DS rough her up but luckily she has already learned how to hold her own most of the time!
