For those of you who do real xmas trees

Anything to keep in mind with LO besides fragile ornaments out of reach? Obviously last year she was too small to attack the tree.

  • Anchor it to the wall so she can't accidentally knock it over.

  • We are doing a small one to fit on a table.  P always finds a way to destroy anything at his level, so that's our safest bet.  Yay for real xmas trees!

  • I can't even imagine how it's going to be.  DS is into everything!  I'm thinking of getting one of those octagonal gate things to surround the tree.

It'll be in a corner... how do you anchor a tree?

Also, how do you keep your wrapping intact? I can't wrap presents for 35+ people all at the last minute.

  • Buy  a screw hook and screw into a wall stud close to the corner.  Then tie a rope around the trunk and connect to the screw.  You may need a few to stabilize it completely.

    Thanks!

We did this last year and will do it again this year.
