So I've been anxiously waiting for cd1 to hopefully start IVF cycle and I've been spotting for a couple of days. I wore a light tampon last night bc the spotting was heavier and it was full this morning. Put another light one in and was full in about 5 hours. Can I go ahead and call it cd1 at this point? The only reason I ask is bc usually my cd1 is crazy heavy...but I've been a little off since starting IF treatments. Nurses always say "full flow"...so I assume a light flow is still "full flow"?
TTC #3 (#1 for DH) since September 2011. DX: Unexplained infertility with possible cervical factor. May 2012 did clomid with IUI - BFN August 2012 IUI #2 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN September 2012 IUI #3 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN October 2012 IUI #4 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN November/December 2012 IVF/ICSI #1 Retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized. Transferred 1 beautiful embryo and 5 made it to freeze. Got my BFP! January 2013 u/s showed empty gestational sac. FET cycle April 2013.  Transferred 2 5 day embryos.  BFP!!!!!  2 heartbeats!!!!  EDD:  12/27/13

    It sounds like full flow to me.  If you are soaking a tampon in a number of hours, that's not spotting, that's flowing.  Also, when in doubt, call the RE's office.

    I agree.  Sounds like full flow to me.  I only count it spotting if its brown and very, very light.  The second it turns red and is any type of flow (light, medium, heavy) I would consider it CD1.
