IKEA easel. Worth the savings?

Hi ladies. Sorry if this post looks weird, I'm on my phone. Ugh!

Anyways, we have been wanting to get Basil an easel, and have been eyeing the kid craft wood ones. But they are 100 and that is most of our Christmas gift budget. I've seen the IKEA ones, and figure for 15 they are flimsy, but does anyone have one? I figure if we get one and it is super flimsy I can stabilize it I know my way around a wood shop. But I was wondering if anyone had opinions on them before I head to ikea to check them out?

We bought one because, like you said - its $15! Its not as nice as the pricier ones but, for $15 its pretty decent and serves our purposes for as much as A uses it. Its not heavy duty but its not so flimsy you need to stablize it.

We have it. It is good quality and I like that it is simple. The paper is cheap too.

It's totally fine. No, it's not super reinforced, but it's never fallen and works great for us.

We also have an Ikea easel and we never have had a problem with it being flimsy.

I live 5 minutes from Ikea, so it's no surprise that I bought my easel there! Having never looked at other options, I have to say I was shocked at the prices of other brands. We've had our $15 easel for over a year now and it gets played with frequently--we've never had a single issue with it. I can not imagine paying $50-$100 for a similar product. I do wish that one side was magnatized, but I've noticed that most of the more expensive ones aren't either. I could always use magnetic primer on one side if I *really* wanted to magnetize it...
