Wii question...remotes, numchuks, etc

Sorry for another Wii question. We just bought one for the holidays (the original one...not Wii U) and it comes with 1 remote and 1 numchuk. We havent set it up yet but I'd like to 2 players to be able to play. Do most kid games use a remote or numchuk? Should I get a 2nd of each? I dont even know the difference in the 2. Also, any dance games to recommend that dont require mats? Thanks

Re: Wii question...remotes, numchuks, etc

  • We quickly got tired of having only one remote - and there are a lot of games you can't play with only one, so I'd def recommend two, plus a second numchuk. That is the thing you plug into the bottom of the remote for two-handed games (like a boxing game, so you can use both hands). No idea on the dance games.

  • Definitely need extra remotes and nunchuks. As for dance games, there are a ton. If they are for little kids, try Disney's Dance Dance Revolution or Just Dance Disney Party. The equipment needed will be on there (they may take Wii Motion instead of the mats, which is better). The other dance games are great (I far prefer them on the Xbox with Kinect), but hard for little kids to do.
