Popular Baby Names Where You Are

Hi, I feel like I have heard every possible US baby name. I am wondering what the popular baby names are where you are currently living, specifically for a girl.

THANKS

  • I'm late but here in Estonia popular girl names are Mari-Liis (lease), Hanna-Liis (pretty much add Liis to any first name however they do not have Middle names like many Americans do), Kadri, Annely, Kelli, Jana.
Boys names: Martin, Jan (yawn), Jaanus, Indrek, Rein, Mart.
  • I live in the UK.

The top five names for boys in 2011 were: Oliver, Jack, Harry, Charlie, James

The top 15 girls names in 2011 were: Lily, Emily, Isabella/Isabelle, Sophia/Sophie, Charlotte, Olivia, Ava, Chloe, Isla (pronounced Eye-La), Amelia, Jessica, Grace, Evie, Ella, Mia

I also know little girls called Imogen, Alice, Briony (BrY-O-Knee), Annabel, Abigail, Martha, Freya, Orly, Gillian, Elenna and Caroline.

My son is Isaac and his baby boy friends are Freddie, Samuel, Jacob, Noah, Alexander, Daniel, Benjamin, Angus, Lincoln, Robert, Archie and Theo.

    Seconded.

I also know a lot of women named:  Claire/Clare, Nicola, Caroline (Care-oh-line, not Care-oh-lin), and Victoria (Vicki/Vicky).  These aren't as popular as baby names, but they must have been popular 30 years ago :-)

Common male names:  Daniel, David, Michael, Colin, Gareth.  I work with lots of men, and there are MULTIPLE people in a small organization with these first names.
