Loss of Mucus plug. So... what now?

FTM here!

I know I probably didn't lose the entire thing, but i'm pretty sure it was a majority of it.
So, since i've lost it, what does that really mean?
Will I start dilating? Go into labor soon?
I'm not exactly sure what happens now, or what to expect within the next few days/week.

With DD, I lost mine at around 37 weeks, then it regrew, because I lost it again about 3 days before I gave birth. Both times it was huge, so I know that I didn't just lose part of it the first time.

Don't get your hopes up too much as PP have said it doesn't really mean anything as it can grow back.

trust me, i'm not getting my hopes up at all.
I'm actually worried about her coming early because the place we're moving into won't be available until the 1st week of December.
And she's due the 13th! I just need to get in there so I can get her nursery set up!

GL I hope LO decides to wait until you have everything moved in and set up. You may want to check out the November mom's board. They have a recent post where the ST+M posted when they lost theirs and when they went into labor. From the looks of it though every pregnancy is different.

I lost mine right as I was going into labor, so I think everyone is different. I hope your LO holds off for a few more weeks!

I lost mine with DD 4 weeks before being induced, but I was 23 cms dilated 2 days later, not sure if there is correlation there though.

OP = it could mean nothing, just ask your Dr at your next appt or call in the morning

I lost part of mine on a Tuesday and the rest of it when my water broke the next day. My daughter was born about 7 hours later.

My water broke two(ish) days after losing my plug, but in general, it doesn't really mean anything.

I've had friends that lost theirs 2-3+ weeks before they actually went into labor.

But... but I'm a really special person and no one else has ever been pregnant like me. My mucus plug is made of sunshine and rainbows and obviously requires a special response.
