Have they faded? My little guy has a dark stork bite on the back of his neck (no big deal, his hair will cover it) and a pretty dark stork kiss on his head (you can see it in my siggy - right between his eyes!). Doc said they may or may not fade - I've never known any babies with them.
Re: If your dc had "stork kisses" or "stork bites"
C has one on the back of her neck. I had one in the same spot as a baby.
I love it. I hope it never goes away.?

My DS also has one on the back of his neck under his hair. I think it's started to fade a little
Someone posted about stork bites/kisses the other night and I had to google it. LOL Anyway, it said if they are on the face they typically fade by 18 months, but if they dont they can be lightened w/a laser (youch!)
DD has a stork kiss on the back of her neck and the article said that they do not usually go away, but are covered by their hair.
one on her eyelid, and in the middle of her forehead. both are still there, slightly faded, and really show when she fusses.
My DS is 2 years old and we actually just went this week to see a pediatric dermatologist about his. He was born with ones on his eyelids, back of head/neck and a large one between his eyes/up on his forehead. The eyes faded, the head/neck ones are still very red but covered with hair and the forehead one has faded a bit, but not much. It gets REALLY red when he's hot, has a fever or gets upset/cries.
We had been told it would fade by age 2, which is why we went to see the derm. He said that we should just continue to watch it and that by school age (5ish) it should be gone. If not, we could have it lasered. But to do the laser, they have to put the kid under anethesia to keep them still. It takes about 30 pulses of the laser to remove. The derm also said to make sure I use a really strong sunscreen on him (obviously you can't do that until baby is older).
