God Parents

Does your child have any?

How did you choose them?

How did you ask them?

Re: God Parents

  • 1. A godmother

    2. She's my sister. Hs family was an option but they all have like 3 godchildren a piece. So we wanted someone different who'd be super excited.

    3. I said, "Hey, Baptism is on ___date. Can you come and do you want to be godmother." We're not a family full of parades, productions and balloons obviously. ;)

  • No just appointed guardians.  Should there ever be a need.
  • She isn't baptized yet but they know they will be her god parents. We just asked them. They are DH cousin and neice.

  • Both our kids have our best friends as Godparents.  We chose them because their faith aligns nicely with ours, while still being open-minded to other faiths.  We took them out to dinner and gave them gifts and asked them very sweetly with DD.  When DS was born we went simple and just asked.

They are also legal guardians for both kids, but that is a separate issue.
