Anyone gotta go to ILs w/o SO this weekend?

We usually do Thanksgiving on Thursday with my family and Friday with his family.  DH is working both days this year and the whole weekend too.  I thought his family would try to work it out and move it to another day (like yesterday).  Their family is really small so it shouldn't be that hard.... It never happened.  DH still wants me and DS to go to lunch over there on Friday without him.  Ugh.... Anyone else in this predicament?

    MH has to work for pretty much every event so I do a lot of stuff with his family. I use it as an opportunity to hand off the kids to other people and sit down and eat and drink and pee without someone bothering me.

    Last year DH was sick over Thanksgiving. I ended up taking the baby over to my IL's for Thanksgiving...not really what I wanted to do, but I did it to "preserve" the holiday schedule. We have had big problems with the family on who gets us for each holiday. We have finally gotten everyone to agree on switching off and I didn't want to mess things up!
    After 2 years of TTC, our daughter was born on Oct 31, 2011!
