Babies: 9 - 12 Months

9.5 mos separation anxiety??

Wow, my DD has really become clingy. This whole weekend, my husband and I could no even walk out of the room for a second without her crying. She also wakes up the second we walk out of the room at night....which makes for a very long night. We were up til midnight trying to get her to stay asleep. Anyone else have this issue?? If so, what do you do abotu it? Is it a phase?? TIA!

Re: 9.5 mos separation anxiety??

  • Yes and no...DD is super clingy to me right now.  She won't go to DH for anything and it is really hurting him.  She has no problems at daycare (actually can't get out of my arms fast enough!) but if I leave the room she crawls after me crying until she reaches me.

It's exhausting but I know it is just a phase.

FWIW, she is just over 9 months as well...

  • DS is starting to go through it now. He's pretty clingy to me during the day. Thankfully we haven't had issues at night yet. I hope it doesn't last too long!

Exactly this. I felt horrible this morning when I left my little guy with his dad and he screamed bloody murder the entire time I was getting stuff loaded into the car.
