Are you going to do Black Friday this year? I think I will stick to cyber Monday, since I don't like crowded spaces too much. have you seen any good deals yet?

Re: Black Friday!

  • Quite honestly, I'm going to call my personal shopper and have her pull everything I want and then just be DONE with it all!  I don't do the whole "Black Friday" thing because the "sale" isn't worth the value of my time and frustration!!!  What gets me are the people camping out days ahead in order to get a $3 toaster.  Come on, that's an hour of work savings and a lot of people take the day off to go...

  • I get excited at the idea of it, but if I venture outside on that day I usually get so stabby that I am probably a danger to myself and others! :)

My friend goes all out, though. She shops all night and buys EVERYTHING--like she will buy multiple TV sets. Then she goes home, sleeps, wakes up, sorts and then returns most of what she bought. For her it is a major rush. She won't allow anyone to go with her because it slows her down.

  • I'll be searching for a couple of specific online deals/free shipping to Canada.

  • Yes! I'm so excited. I've got my list planned out and everything. I'm going to be completely finished my Christmas shopping on Friday so I can actually enjoy the season this year.

Walmart always has good deals. I'll be picking up a few clothes, movies, and books for Charlotte. They also have a Little Tikes kitchen on sale for just $50. I'll be getting one of those too.

  • I love Black Friday and typically start every year by standing in line at Target to be there when they first open. That being said, I probably will not do that this year because I don't agree with the fact that they are starting their Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving at 9pm.  I think they should reserve Thanksgiving as a day off for their employees.  Soooo..  I am currently deciding where I will start my shopping and what I have left to buy on my list.

  • I went to Wal Mart last year and it was horrible. I bought maybe 2 things. They didn't have anything I really wanted on sale and the nearest stores that are worthwhile to do Black Friday shopping are 25-60 miles away. I said I was never going again since it was just not worth it, but my town just opened a Shopko so I'm reconsidering! I think I will go and order the rest on Monday.
  • Yes we are. We are getting one thing! A TV for my in-laws. They are going to be FURIOUS. lol. We're going to check out Sears on Thanksgiving, they start at 8pm. We'll head over at like 5pm to see what the line is like. If it's crazy then we're going to go to KMart at about 2am and wait for the 5am doorbusters.

I casually asked the other day what size their TV is and my MIL was like "why, you better not be thinking about doing anything, we do not exchange gifts with the adults" I was like "I was just wondering." She told my DH if we get them a TV she will return it. So DH told me we have to throw away the box and just wrap the TV. We plan on sneaking in their house Christmas Eve and setting up the TV, putting a note on it that says "From Santa, definately not *Mr. & Mrs.*" LOL. I can't wait.
