Hi Mamas!
What are y'all getting hubby for Christmas from you, and from the baby? I just did a bit of online shopping and DH is getting ugg slippers for around the house, and some wooden guitar piks from etsy. Last year I made him a really cute book with pictures of Max dressed up doing things that my husband does, called "Just Like My Dad." I want to do something fun this year too! What are you all going to do?
Also, is anyone else doing double holidays? We celebrate Hannukah and Christmas, so I am going to do books for Max for the 8 nights of Hannukah this year. I can't wait!
Re: Holiday Gifts for DH?
DH and I have been talking about updating our kitchen, so we've agreed to stick to small gifts for each other. I'm either going to get him something from Think Geek or Assassins' Creed II (video game).
I haven,t really thought of what the girls might give him.
Mine too! He wants outlandish things like a generator and super expensive power tools. I'm like, sorry dude, guess you're getting one gift, and it will be none of those things.
I'm probably getting him the new Halo game and one power tool if I can find something that he wants in the $200 range. And that's it. I truly dislike shopping for him, because I feel like we can never afford to get the things he really wants.
DH is studying to be a teacher so I got him this for his classroom:

He doesn't really ever get me anything because he HATES being expected to buy presents. He does like to get me stuff for no reason, however.
I have a few ideas that I've pinned. I don't think I will do specific gifts from LO, but rather from "us".
Ideas include: new golf shoes, an Under Armour skull cap (he does a lot of work in power plants where he uses hard hats and needs a skull cap to wear underneath), a new alarm clock and maybe a new tungsten wedding band.

DH asked for an Xbox360. He does the budget, and he wouldn't ask for something big if we didn't have the money for it.
So my "gift" to him was finding the best deal on it.
I was going to buy him games to go with it, but he already bought them on Amazon. He's hard to buy for because he buys stuff for himself.
Lump of Coal lol jk ;-)
I am unsure still DH has always been the type to say don't buy me anything.
I know he will get the obvious sleep pants, a video game, DVDs, clothing, ect.
I think it is time to start mentioning items and listen to his tone of interest.
SO was talking about a drylocker hockey bag that he wants so I think I'm going to do that. Bonus: It will get his gear off the garage floor!
As for a gift from DD, I'm not too sure yet.
DH will be getting a new cell phone and the new Halo game.
As far as a gift from DD, I actually haven't even thought about it.. I guess I should get on that.
