First Prenatal appointment TOMORROW!!

Hi all! My first appointment is tomorrow and I am kind of nervous. I am currently with out insurance ,but will have insurance once the 1st of January comes around (thanks to DH employer). I can afford to pay out of pocket for the sonogram ,but any blood or urine tests I've heard are expensive. Have any of you ladies been through something like this? I know that they want to test blood and urine during your first appointment. Is this something that I can put off until then New Year? I just want what is best for the baby.

    Are you seeing your regular ob or going somewhere else?  I'm just asking because maternity coverage is a universal fee (so a one time fee for all 9 months worth of appointments), so if you see the ob before you have insurance, your future insurance probably won't cover any of your pregnancy.

    I would call your dr to see what they recommend, Jan 1 isn't all that far off and a lot of people don't see an ob until they are in the 2nd tri.
