sorry for all the daycare posts, but I'm new to this. How do you do your daughter's hair in the morning and how does it look when ther come home? If I send DD in a head band it always ends up on her cubby, when I do pig tails I use tiny rubber bands that are difficult to get out, but the clips are always out and her hair is a mess. Do you expect the teachers to keep up their hair style?

Re: moms w/ girls in daycare
My dd doesn't go to daycare, but I would not expect them to keep up with her hair, seeing as I barely can. The tiny rubber bands stay in, but even under my watch clips and headbands get pulled out right away. I don't expect my aunt, who wwatches her, to keep her hair perfect. She tries. But it gets sloppy sometimes, and she does redo it, but not all the time.
i tried to edit, but I don't think it worked. Just wanted to add that my ds goes to daycare, and that's where I'm basing my daycare expectations off of.
In the morning I fix hair in clips, headbands, pony tails, braids,etc...With my oldest the style falls out by nap time. Sometimes her teachers will redo the hair and even put it up in an intricate style. Other times, it's sloppy. With my youngest DD, most of the time the hair pieces are in her cubby. This past week, she remained still to allow the teachers to put her hair up.
I don't expect the teachers to keep up the hair style. If they did it for my DD they would have to do it for all the girls and that's pretty time consuming. I do love when they have time to style it tho.
I don't. As katlizabeth said:
The only thing that really matters to me is that my girls' hair is off their face, and both DCP's do a good job at it. Doesn't meant they style her hair or anything, but they often come home with a "unicorn" tail on the top of their head because the bangs hair got out of their braids/pigtails/hairclips, and that's fine with me.
LOL - no I would not expect teachers to keep up w/ my child's hair do for the day.
cut your LO's hair or just accept that she will come home in a different state than you left her.
I don't expect them to do anything. And I especially don't except them to fight with a 2 year old about hair styling. Her barrettes are ALWAYS in her cubby. I don't know if she takes them out or they do. But, I appreciate getting them back, because those things are expensive.
There are 2-3 teachers who enjoy doing hair and make it an activity with the kids. So, sometimes she comes home with her hair more done than when I sent her.
