I'm trying to decide on a stroller for second baby since i'm selling my bugaboo frog to a friend. I want a stroller that has an option of somewhere for my first child to ride and bugaboo seemed kinda small.
Oldest will be 3 year old when baby #2 is due. My oldest is small for her age (25th percentile) and still occasionally uses the stroller, although it's kinda in and out of it at this point. I was looking at the city select, but feel that's probably overkill for a 3 year age difference.
I really love the UppaBaby Vista. I love the bassinet feature too, as my oldest slept in hers in our room for the first few months. Should I just try it with the piggyback or also get the rumble seat to use on longer trips (long walks, zoo, amusements parks)? I've read the rumble seat is kinda hard to push, but i'm thinking since baby is due in April we might get good use from April-Oct here in SoCal? I'm also thinking I could wear baby for the first few months if oldest needed to ride in the stroller. Anyone have the Vista with a 3 year age gap? Thoughts please....=)
Re: uppababy vista with baby#2?
I love my vista, but the rumble seat has a weight limit of 35 lbs...not sure how much your daughter weighs, but keep that in mind. With a 3 yr old, I would just get a piggy back board, but if you really want her to have a seat, I'd go with the Ciy select. You can get a bassinet for that one too and it works out to be the same price if you get it.
i kept my bugaboo when I had DS. I got the buggy board attachment. Easy to push with DD standing and DS in the bassinet. Now, DS is almost a year and is still easy to push. DD also learned to sit on the board if she was tired. DD and and DS are two and a half years apart. Very convenient this past summer when we went to the beach a lot as well.
Friends of mine have the city select and LOVE it. Love the way it pushes and the way the kids sit in it. Other friends have the UB Vista with the rumble seat and never use it. Have said it's cumbersome to push.
If she's walking almost 100% at places by then, I'll get the board for her though.
