XP A little embarrassing...

So, I have a question for you ladies that is actually a little embarrassing.  My boobs have gotten so big that they are hanging down and getting really red, irritated, and itchy underneath them in the crease.  I have been putting Gold Bond powder under them and making sure to wear appropriate-sized bras, but so far nothing is helping.  Anyone have any ideas?  Ugh.  I love being pregnant, but some of the things that go along with it are just plain embarrassing!  Lol!

  • Before putting the goldbond on make sure you throughly(sp?) wash underneath your boobs with a mild soap and rinse it off. Then pat the irritated area dry with a towel and put the goldbond on. If that doesn't work then try buttpaste or desitin after washing and drying instead of the goldbond. This is what we do for my residents when they get an irritated area on them and it always works. You can also try nistatin(sp?) powder on the irritated area too.

  • Are you sure part of this is not a reaction to the goldbond? I used dove soap pre-pregnancy, but with the hormonal changes I break out in a rash from it, but once I switched soaps I was fine.

Yes I'm sure. I just started using the Gold Bond after the redness/itchiness started. It's not making it worse, just not better either.

  • I know how you feel- I have hit the DDs in the last few weeks and they are getting bigger! Would using a sports bra in conjunction with the gold bond be possible? I find a good sports bra like Under Armour can wick away the moisture and feels comfortable overall.

  • I'd go get professionally fitted for a bra to start - and also make sure you dry under there really well when you get out of the shower.  Moisture isn't your friend!  I'm not sure about powders or creams but if it persists, I'd see your doc.
  • I had a problem like that, and I started using diaper cream (my friend told me to try it). It fixed the problem very quickly for me.
