Ok, so I'm not experiencing this right now, but just very curious as to when I might expect it......... Incontinence. I've heard the horror stories. At what stage of pregnancy does this typically start? I'm trying to brace myself for when the less pleasant side of pregnancy like incontinence will start and when I should begin to prepare for it. Eeeep! Thanks, ladies!

I love my rainbow baby!
Re: BTDT moms -- I have a question!
I wouldn't really call it incontinence. It's just a bit weaker of a bladder. Lol. It starts to happen when the baby is really pressing on the bladder so late 2 tri at the earliest. The problem really comes after. Your whole lady bits business is never the same. The whole area is weakened by pregnancy and delivery and recovery.
So do your kegels and don't wait long between trips.

I never got it - I started doing my keggles really early (like now) and not sure if that helped or not, but I didn't get it. Also, when I'm going to sneeze or cough I just squeeze down there and was ok... HTH
I think this is the same with everything in pregnancy. You're not going to get all the symptoms.
Yep the squeeze when you know it's coming thing. You know I wouldn't give up my daughter for anything in the world but I do miss the being able to hold my pee in all circumstances.

Maybe that was me too - my son was really high so I didn't have the incontinence or always needing to pee issue - though it was hard for me to breathe. I had to take breaks just when talking. Made conference calls fun

This was me too. I carried really high and didn't have any issue with him kicking or pressing on my bladder. But... He was in my lungs and made breathing difficult.
I really never experienced this with DS either before or after delivery. It will be interesting to see what happens this time.
I second the call for doing your kegels

Never in my arms, but always in my heart.
I never experienced it, during pregnancy or after my son was born. He was a big baby too...almost ten pounds, so you would think things would be really stretched out down there. I think everyone is different. Maybe you will get lucky!
PS I never did kegels
