is it worth it

to even buy a baby wipe warmer, or one of those big plastic tubs for the sink..my mom and ML say no but DH really wants a wipe warmer for some reason..he says "would you want a cold wipe on your a$$ at 3 am" hahahaha i find that funny. so should we even waste our money?

That made me lol!  I can't answer your question - I'm sure there will be votes either way.  For me, it would depend on how much they cost and if my DH wanted to register for one or buy one ourselves.  GL!  :)

  • Not getting one either. I'd have to buy the travel wipe warmer as well, I find it a little ridiculous.
  • no to the wipe warmer. ?yes to the tub.
  • I originally thought no, but my SIL convinced me to get the wipe warmer. I'm glad I did. DS would actually try to curl up to get away from an cold wipe on the occasions I had to use one. Plus, they're only about $15, so not a huge waste of money.
  • I had a wipe warmer for DD and hated it.  The wipe gets cold in like 3 seconds anyway.  As for the tub...yeah I'm getting one.
  • I'm planning to get one for just that reason..... nobody wants a cold wet wipe on their butt in the middle of the night!! :)

  • yeah we probably will end up getting one, im registering for it first before we break down and buy it ourselves..and so the list of stuff to buy goes on.

  • I'm using cloth wipes that we spray w/a water bottle for poop messes.  DD cries during changes whether I use wet wipes or not.
  • Wipe warmers dry out wipes, are a fire hazard, hth is he going to warm a wipe when he is out and about with baby?

    Such a waste.

  • I had one with DS. Used it for a couple weeks, then it became kind of a pain, so we quit. I'm not getting one this time.

    Wipe warmers dry out wipes

Yep! Guess I should have mentioned that too in my previous post, that's WHY we stopped using it. :P Whoops.

  • We didn't register for one, but someone got us one at our shower anyway. We returned it for store credit. I've heard 1) it can dry wipes out; 2) is a fire hazard; 3) baby can just deal with room temp or cool wipe. That said, I've also heard some people say it really helped with their babies.

Recently my friend sent me a box of some new and used stuff, including her used wipe warmer. She says her baby liked it as a newborn at least.

So for now it's sitting on my changing table. I think I'll try without the first few days and see how it goes. Then maybe I'll give the wipe warmer a try to see if it makes a difference.

  • If you have to buy the warmer yourself I say NO. You can register for it and you'll most likely get it. Its only about $20.
    The tub, YES.
