Help! Our little girl who has slept through the night since she was 3 months old (we're talking 11 hour stretches) as decided over the course of the last 3 weeks that she wants to just cry in her sleep. More often than not, she is on her tummy but sound asleep. Sometimes, she's awake an unhappy, looking for her "blue light" from the monitor. Just patting her back doesn't work, so we roll her over, give her a bink and her lovey, and she's back to sleep. But this has been happening 3-4 times a night now, and we are exhausted.
I thought it could be teething pain, but she gets Orajel teething tablets right before bed. I would welcome any, and all suggestions! CIO doesn't work for her however, as she will wake her self up for real, and she gets all riled up. It takes her a really long time to come back down from it.

Re: Oh, screaming sleeping baby
No help here but I feel your paIn. Ds was a great sleeper too, sttn from an early age but these past few weeks he is up every 2 hrs. I am creating a monster. I nurse him and let him sleep in our bed and now that is what he expects. I need to break these ad habits soon or I am going to have two little monsters sleeping in my bed. He is such a good smuggler though. He likes to sleep in my armpit with his head on my chest. I think he likes to hear my heart. I die of cuteness but thus had to stop. When he's not in the bug bed he's in his pnp in our room. We fail at letting go.
Oiy! We did really good after I made this initial post. And then... it happened. We took DD off her routine and spent a day out shopping yesterday. Every time she got in the car, she fell asleep. Even if it was for a few minutes. Then she totally rebeled against us last night. DH and I were up till midnight, watching a movie and laughing our heads off. I turned off the light, and then DD decided it was time to cry, and wake up. It took me over an hour to put her back to sleep. Every time I put her down she screamed. She was out for an hour, and then it took another hour to put her back to sleep. We wound up on the couch, and asleep for 3 hours.
Little girl and I decided to skip church this morning to sleep. She had other plans. I wanted to pick things up around the house. Less than an hour later, she's awake and screaming yet again! What happened to my sweet little sleeping baby?
