World prematurity awareness day

Is today... If there is a preemie or angel baby you want to celebrate, a candle at 7 would be a great way. I know there are a few of the cutest preemies ever on this board. Cough cough

As we know all too well from those of us on the board it can be heartbreaking and can come out of no where. 1 out of every 8 babies in the US is born prematurely and worldwide a baby dies every 30 seconds from prematurity... Devastating.

    My twin brother were born premature. Me at 3lbs 6oz, and my brother just over 4lbs.

    One of my nephews was born at 26 or 27 weeks I believe. I forget what his weight was, but we are so lucky to have him with us still.

    My twin niece and nephew were born at 38 weeks. Both around 5lbs.

    I agree that we have some very cute preemies on our board. All of your babies are true blessings. Some of the best gifts come in small packages :] and some are too precious to wait for.

    DD was born at 35 weeks, 4 days. She weighed 5lbs 8 oz and just had a 36-hour NICU stay to keep her warm and help her keep her sugars up. We are so thankful for all the wonderful care she received and are further thankful that the only  problem was a difficult time BFing. Now that we're completely on bottles, she's thriving.
