We got DS this tool bench for his 2nd birthday and he absolutely loves it! Other things he's into - play dough, books, pattern blocks, duplo blocks, trains, car racetrack, play kitchen and food, toy leaf blower and vacuum cleaner, musical toys, etc. GL!
hands down the coolest thing that DS got for his second birthday was for mr potato head. he loves it and it keeps him entertained for quite a while.
for his second birthday he also got crayons for the tub that he enjoys, and right now, he's really big in to mega blocks (he's 2.5 in december). he loves cars (we have some b.toy cars that you pull back and then they propel forward) as well.
last year for christmas we got him a train table and the last 6 months or so he's been more and more in to that.
also, for his second birthday we bought him a balance bike by strider, he likes it and thinks its really cool but he didn't get the hang of it this summer, i'm hoping next year he'll commit more to riding it and trust himself a little better. when he turned 2, he had only been walking for about 6.5 months, so i think that put him at a disadvantage for the balance bike.

My DS is 26 months and loves the Lego Duplo My First Farm set. He's had it for over a month and several times a day he is saying, "mommy, build a barn!!".
