In the middle of my induction.. and I'm home

So ladies, none of you mentioned that I'd be sent home from the hospital in the middle of my induction! Here's the scoop:

I came in at 9:30 AM. I was monitored for contractions. Then they gave me a dose of cytotec, monitored me for another hour, and then told me I could go home (or do whatever I wanted) and return in 3 hours. So here I am.. at home! Shocked because I never heard of anyone else going home in the midst of an induction.

    I've never heard of that!  Well I hope you make some progress in the next 3 hours, at least you are more comfortable.

    I took one yesterday (see HDBD) and it's INSANE.

    I am guessing ( I am no doc) that the reason is because you can labor at home comfortably and once you get past a certain cm they will keep you.  Just because you are induced doesn't mean it will go quickly heh.

    Hoping you progress quickly!  My guess is that maybe you can labor more comfortably at home until you progress.  Maybe that helps things, who knows!

    WOW never heard of getting to leave after an induction....Enjoy it? :P Probably beats being hooked up to a jillion monitors...Happy Laboring! :)
    God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)
