The Illness Saga

This morning, Brynn woke up with her eye crusted shut, pink and puffy, so I had to bring her into the pedi. If you read my post yesterday, I mentioned that Paige has been whimpering when she cries, so I was worried about another UTI. I was going to wait until her 9 month well visit on Monday to bring her in, but I figured that since I was already going in for Brynn, I might as well bring Paige just to be safe. Brynn has pink eye, no surprise. They had to give Paige a catheter (she screamed) and there was blood in her urine. They sent out the urine and we will have the results at her well visit on Monday.

And to top that off, the pedi said there was something strange on Brynn's kidney u/s yesterday (even though the u/s tech said everything looked normal yesterday). She has a duplicated collection system in her right kidney. The pedi said she didn't really know what that meant, so we will have to see what the pediatric urologist says about that.

I feel like we are always sick in this house right now! From Paige's kidneys to her recent ear infection and yeast diaper rash to this new stuff this weekend. Just wishing for a break from this.

Sounds like things are going as well for you as they are for us here. On top of everything our family is dealing with DH's grandma was admitted to the hospital and most likely will die this weekend. My grandpa's "girlfriend" died yesterday too.

I hope things get better in our households!!

Please update with what the urologist says that ultrasound means.
