This. I used to check it probably every other day when I was charting. I thought it was gross at first, but you do what ya gotta do. If I'm up there digging mucus out of my body, I may as well know where it's coming from.
The things we do...
TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
So lost.
Hmm...Katharine and RedPhoenix: You make persuasive arguments.
Maybe I'll work up the courage to get the fluk over my aversion to my own lady parts.

I've been checking it for about 3 or 4 cycles now. The first 2 or 3 cycles I had no flucking clue what the heck was going on. Last cycle I started to understand the low and firm (like Katharine... totally useless) I'm finally getting low, medium and high as well as Firm, medium & soft. I'm still a bit perplexed about the open-ness though. Although this cycle I definitely felt that open was different than closed. I check daily though... I think it's the kind of thing you really have to keep trying before you 'get' it... and it's easy to get discouraged before you really start figuring it out.
I'm surprised that so many chose the 'gross' option though. I don't really see it as gross at all... just another way you can tell what's going on with your body.
Welcome to the world Little Girl! Born on her due date! September 8, 2013, 7lb 11.8oz, 19.5" long.
