My husband and I are expecting twins End of may/ beginning of June. These are our first children and we are so overjoyed to be blessed with two! Iwas wondering if anyone had any suggestions for twin essentials? Also, I am looking into purchasing the Chico
Cortina double stroller infant/ toddler and wondering if anyone has any feedback on the stroller or success with any other brand. Thank you:
Re: Expecting twins
Double Snap and Go until they are out of infant seats
2 Boppy's
2 bouncy seats
And for the 2nd stroller I love my Graco Sport Duo super light weight and folds small
Videos of telling my family and husbands family that we are preggo...with twins!
Welcome and Congrats!
Essentials...2 Boppy's, 2 bouncy seats (preferably something that can entertain them, mine love the fisher price rainforest one), at least 1 swing (we have a big swing that plugs in and the lion king travel swing which my daughter loves), we couldn't make it through a day without our Wubbanub paci's, and the double snap n go is so wonderful while they're still in car seats.
As far as the Chico Cortina, we looked into that one and once we saw it in person we hated it. I'm a review freak and haven't read very good things about that stroller or Chico carseats. We have Graco snug rides and really like them and they fit great into the snap n go stroller. We also have a side by side stroller for when they're older, but we used it already in Florida/Disney while on Vacation last month and loved it. We have the Joovy Scooter X2. It runs about $230 which is pricier then a few double strollers but in the world out doubles is definitely on the cheaper side. It's a really good stroller. Easy to fold up, fits through all standard doorways, the seats recline prettier far back, has a large canopy and a huge basket underneath. We decided to go with a side by side ultimately to avoid fights later on about who gets to sit in front.
Good luck! Twins are a lot of work but awesome.
ETA: We also have the angelcare monitors and love them. We've never had a false alarm and infact we've only had the alarm go off once on my son because he was holding his breath while he was asleep.

Be sure to check the FAQs at the top of the page - there is a lot of good info there about twin essentials, favorite strollers, etc.
Congrats on your twins. Twins were my first pregnancy as well. Things I can't live without my 2 bouncer seats, 2 boppy's, at least one swing, and a large diaper bag.
We have the chicco car seats and strollers along with an extra set of bases. When deciding on a stroller I did a lot of looking at the reviews and asking my sil (she has twins as well) and we ended up with the chicco double stroller fora couple of reasons. I they sit one behind the other and it allows me to navigate opening doors when I am alone and does not take up the entire elevator at the drs office. Second my sil has the one where they sit next two each other and if she was going into a a store that did not have automatic doors she needed both doors open to get through.
As for the chicco keyfit 30 I love them. They are one of the few car seats that are safe for preemies. Many people do not like them because they do not lock on a shopping cart but I read on the chicco sight the reason is they feel a infant is not safe on the top part of the shopping cart. I was a pain at first having to take to shopping carts but now it has turned into a special outing with one of my twins to go shopping with mommy. If I need to take both of my DD's then I bring my stroller in which navigates easily in the aisl
