Natural Birth

Webster worked!

Just need to share with people that would understand.

This baby has been transverse for as long as I've known its position. At my 32 week appointment, the OB I saw was not thrilled with a slightly elevated blood pressure and sent me to L&D to do an NST, where they had the monitor on the top of my bump up by my boobs. The nurses were slightly concerned over the position, despite the OB having just said "you don't need to worry until 36 weeks."

I decided to finally call a chiropractor (certified in the Webster technique) and set up an appointment. Last night was my 2nd adjustment, and in the following 3 hours I felt baby turn and move down into position. It was painful while s/he was moving, so I can't imagine feeling a baby at 36 weeks turn, but I feel great now and I am SO relieved that it worked!

  • That's great! I recommend to keep going to your chiro until you give birth. I went all the way till I had the baby and it helped so much!

  • Fantastic!  What good news!

Three days before I went into labor with DD she dropped into position, and I remember that pain being worse than any contraction, it was awful!  And she was already head down, just getting into position, I can't imagine how painful it would be if she actually had to turn like your baby did!

  • That's great! When I was 35 weeks pregnant DS went transverse and then back to head down in a day. He was 9 lbs. at birth and so not tiny at 35 weeks. I told him no more flipping because there wasn't enough room. He took that to heart a little too much and stayed OP until the end of labor!
