Hi All -

I have lurked here for a short while and have posted a few comments, but I haven't introduced myself, yet. I am 41 and have been married for six years, I have a 21 year old daughter, a 6 year old son, and now I am pregnant with my third child -- a girl -- due in May. We TTC for about two years and were going to give up the month I got my BFP, so we feel very lucky. My Mom passed away in May, so I was hoping for a little girl that I could name after her -- Audrey.

I am new to The Bump and have visited a few of the boards here, and I have also tried out BabyCenter -- but so far I haven't felt very comfortable anywhere. I am wondering if it's my age that's keeping me from feeling like I fit in, so I am hoping to connect here and looking forward to getting to know you over the next several months!

    Congrats to you.  I know you are excited about this pregnancy and I hope you will have a healthy bouncy little girl.  I found myself pregnant close to 40 but I feel fine.  All we can wish for is good healthy babies and I am sure you are doing what is best for you and your baby.   Do not listen to any negative responses just clear them from your head.  I too have been stared at but I know in my heart I am doing the right thing.   I am sorry that you mom passed away it must be so hard for that loss.    I am looking forward to this 3rd baby and cannot wait till the end of April.  The holidays are coming and lets all have fun eating our turkeys and stuffing and pies.  Happy Thanksgiving to all the moms out there.

    Congratulations! It sounds like Audrey made her appearance for a reason. I think it's fantastic that you will have created such a fantastic legacy to your mother by bringing a beautiful baby into the world!
