  Yes, DS has been able to blow out a candle since his 1st birthday.  He has a hard time blowing bubbles though! LOL  He can do them just not great...

  Yes.  DS blew out all 3 candles on his birthday cake in one breath. 
  

  I don't think anything is wrong with your child.  It's a skill that is really only necessary once a year.

  DD1 isn't quite 3 year, but she can blow out a candle and blow bubbles. She loves doing both and spends a lot of time pretending to celebrate birthdays, so she has "practiced" blowing out candles a lot  

  I think it takes more force to blow out a candle than to blow bubbles. Your LO might just be used to blowing gently for bubbles and not quite gotten the blowing harder for candles yet.

  Yes but we have candles we light and blow out together before bed. So maybe more practice

  DS and DD can both blow out candles; however, DD can not blow bubbles well, DS can; DS can not blow party horn things, DD can... I don't think it's an issue, more that they are still learning to control air flow for different things.

  I'm a lurker... but this made me smile because I'm 30 and can't blow out candles. My DH likes to give me grief about it.  I can, but it's an effort - takes me multiple tries!  I have asthma though that just makes it difficult for some reason.  Does she have asthma/allergies?

  DS can blow out a candle, has been able to since at least 1 year. It has become a hastle now, because we light candles in the house, and he will go around and blow them out if we are not looking.lol.

  How far do you have her from the candle? Also remember, you have to blow softer for bubbles to not pop, maybe she is just blowing softly because she is used to bubbles?
