XP: Christmas card CP

A couple years ago I bought a bunch of clearance Christmas cards that I never got around to sending I know I am terrible. This year I really want to send cards and I wanted to do pictures but I don't want my stash going to waste, so...ETA: It may seem like a silly question, but I always wonder if cards are more of a burden on people than anything. I feel bad recycling them so I have several shoe boxes filled with every card I have ever received.[Poll]

Re: XP: Christmas card CP

  • Not a burden to me! I love receiving Christmas cards! I keep the special cards, and have no problem tossing the rest in the recycling bin after Christma.

Eta: my phone keeps correcting Christmas. To christma. No freaking clue why.

Also, in terms of wanting to do picture cards just send a separate picture in the envelope with the card. That way people can display it year round without having to display a "Christmas card", kwim?

  • I buy a small 12 pack of regular ones to send to my neighbors in our apt building - and last year I had a clearance stash for the same thing, and for family who wouldn't "appreciate" our funny photo (last year DH dressed as capt america and we painted my belly as a shield).

As for old cards - I cut them up and use them as gift tags the next year.

i do this, as well, and use them for scrap booking, card making, etc.

Yes! I was thinking of doing both, and it was one of my options in the poll that didn't show up. I just wasn't sure if it would be too much on she receiving end.
