DD2 is pretty close to walking. She loves a walking trolley that we got for DD1. It has a tray at the bottom that has building blocks in it.
It's been one of the best toys. The blocks are great for buiding, and now DD1 is learning her letters (each block has a letter on each side), DD1 also takes her dolls for walks in it, and the two of them just love playing with it together.
Besides that she loves anything musical, and is particularly fond of a tambourine we have that has the skin of a drum.
LO loved and still loves the stacking cups, blocks, balls, and these vinyl dogs that she carries around everywhere. Bigger toys that she loves are her Discovery Garden activity house and the FP Musical Activity Walker.
My son is a little older (16 mo), but he loves any type of push toy (we have the VTech Zebra, but I prefer one without sounds) and has since around the 9mo age.
My son has all of these and loves them: Snug Bugs, One Two Squeeze soft blocks, Wheee-Is Soft Cards. He's also played with the activity cube and drum set at church... they are a big hit with all the kids.
He has played with a "popper" toy for a long time... press the top lever down and the beads inside pop around.
For Christmas this year, we're going to get him a FP Little People Wheelies race track, Mega Blocks, and a Melissa & Doug Pound and Roll Tower.
