You know how some women are all belly out front and you can't tell they're
pregnant from behind, whereas others you definitely can? I'm staring to think I'm
going to be one of the latter!
I'm almost 16 weeks and have noticed that in addition to my belly growing out, I am also getting wider (love handles, waist disappearing, etc.). Do you think this is an indication of how I'm going to carry throughout, or did you find your body totally changed shape in later pregnancy compared to earlier?
I realize this is an incredibly superficial question/observation -- and believe me, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things one bit. I was just curious if how I carry now is any indication of how I will throughout, and would love to hear some experiences for those farther along than I am!
(PS - wives tales say it's a girl if you carry all over, which is what I've been feeling all along, anyway - will be interesting in a few weeks to find out if I'm right!)

I started showing late into my 2nd tri with my first pregnancy and I was all belly...I had a little boy...I actually didn't look really pregnant until my last 6 weeks...
So far this pregnancy has been very similar..I just got a noticable pregnant bump about 2 weeks ago and so far it is all belly...I am having another boy...I did look a little "wider" to my self this morning but not enough to really think anything about it?
My sister had 3 girls and she was pregnant all over...Good Luck with finding you what your baby is :-)
PgAL/PAL welcome, always!
I am having a boy, and I mostly have seemed to have only changed in my stomach and my hips some. Though, I was on the heavy side to begin with.
I lost a lot of weight prior to becoming pregnant, and due to pretty bad nausea.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I have been all bump the whole time and have been told that by others since I started showing. I do not look pg from behind (I found that out the other day at work when someone tapped me on the shoulder to ask me something and I wasn't who they were looking for).
I am having a boy, so the wives tale is true for me.
Wanted to add, no matter how you carry, by the time you are 35-36 weeks, everyone's body has gone to some kind go wreck....
