  • Where is everyone???

dd has a little cold that she got from my nephew.  Tomorrow is his bday party and I think I'm keeping her home from the party.  DH and his family will flip when they find out.  However, they shouldn't have brought a sick 3-year old to our home.

That sucks! Sorry your lo is sick : (

My UO: I actually enjoy washing DD's diapers. I mean the poop is still gross and all, but I like making the detergent & stuffing the diapers. It's fun

My FFFC: DH is working late so I'm going to have a 'Real Housewives' marathon after I put DD to bed

  • UO: I don't like seafood

FFFC: I watch Days of Our Lives and sometimes hide it from DH because he thinks its stupid. I mean I get that it isn't intellectually stimulating, which is probably why I watch it, but its my guilty pleasure of the day.

I've watched Days of Our Lives every day since I was a teenager.  I can't help it.  It's stupid and many times I wonder why I'm still watching it, but it's been so long, I can't stop.

Mine:  I don't want another baby because I can't deal with sleep issues.  My DD isn't even bad compared to some of the other stories I read, but when she fights her naps, it makes me crazy after awhile.

UO: I don't like to take my baby out for long periods of time. I hate hauling tons of stuff.

  • This is like 5 months too late, but I didnt get the the whole, "I had my baby May 31st instead of June 1st so now Im going to the May mom's board!" I mean, you had been here 9 months, and your baby would be mere days ahead of ours. Am I missing something?

Any sort of -"tivist" usually gets me really irritated, really quick- even when it's something I agree with. When I was growing up, which was like last week, you got left out in the cold if you were closed minded on either end. It wasnt cool. I get standing for something, but chillTFO

And I hide the fact that I love America's Funniest home videos from my husband. He thinks it's the most stupid show ever, but I think alot of them are really sweet!

  • My FFFC...DS is currently fighting a nap and screaming at the top of his lungs. He has fallen asleep on me twice for this nap but both time he woke up shortly after going into the crib and started pitching a fit. He's usually fairly easy to get down for a nap, so this is absurd. I decided to try letting him CIO for 5 minutes, but DH graciously took the monitor and said he'll take care of him. That was probably 10 minutes ago. Now I'm seriously contemplating just going up and getting DS so he can nap on me. I'm afraid all this screaming is really going to screw up his night sleep. Argh. Why is this so complicated??

  • My UO: these abbreviations irritate me. Not sure why. But they do. DH, MUD, DS, CIO, blah blah blah. I continue to use them though. LOL.

  • We own a rental property that has been pretty lucrative for us. Our renters pay nearly twice our mortgage. I brought up the idea to my husband that maybe we only charge our tenants half the rent for the month of December. I've never met the people, but they've been good tenants and they have children. I know this time of the year can be hard financially for some people.

Now, I kind of want to use the extra money to pay towards some other expenses.

My husband, who has a heart of gold, probably thinks I'm a biotch for wanting to retract this. We haven't told the tenants or anything about it. We're going to check on our house tomorrow. As long as the place doesn't seemed trashes, I'll begrudgingly go ahead with the reduced rent.

Rent is so ridiculously expensive mOst of the time, Id imagine you'd really bring joy to some I'd your tenants through doing that. I know that DH and I would be elated to only pay half rent in December. :

Oh man, don't I know it! We were paying almost 3 times our mortgage in rent up until this past month. I'm soooo glad those days are done.

Unfortunately, our tenants have severely messed our house up. I'm pretty torn up about it. The kicker was when I saw dog prints all over our deck. I asked the guy if he had a dog. He said no. There is no pets allowed clause in the lease. Anyhow, we went to talk to our neighbor about his dog, because our tenant stated the neighbors dog was really aggressive and ruining our fence. Well, the neighbor says they, our tenants, have a pit bull! I have no idea if our homeowners insurance even covers this.

Yeah, we are not giving anything off their rent, nor will I be returning their deposit. Their lease ends in January, and I will not be renewing it. I feel horrible, given the time of year, but my house looks like a junkyard! Oh man, I'm so upset right now.

Its jerks like that that make rent so high in the first place! Ugh! Sorry you have to deal with that!

I agree with the bolded though! DH and I are house hunting and when we get into something our payment will be half of what we're paying now for rent!
