Little White Lies

I had a big lunch today and it didn't agree with me.  Luckily, I work 2 miles from home.  So, I told my boss I had to "run to the bank" but went home to poop.  I "run to the bank" at least once a week.  hahaha

Re: Little White Lies

  • I wish I worked closer to home so I could do this. I am an "only poop at home" type of person and some days I am dancing at my door trying to unlock it.

  • I love your alibi but I have to ask why you don't just poop at work?

I have poopers anxiety like MamaZbo and can't poop in a bathroom with more than one stall.  If it's a loner bathroom, I'm ok.  Unfortunately, we do not have any here at work.

That really has to be hard to deal with - I can't imagine trying to limit my bathroom usage like that. Out of curiosity, what is your anxiety in relation to exactly? I mean, everyone is in the bathroom for the same reason. I try not to even look people in the eyes while in the bathroom (by the sink obviously), because it's not a place to even acknowledge other people exist in my mind LOL!

  • LOL my best girlfriend in HS couldn't poop away from home either. Not even in a hotel room. We took lots of FFA trips, and the poor girl would go 2 to 5 days without a poop. She'd be practically sick and so cranky by the time we got home!

  • I don't know what it is, I can't toot either, only pee. Sometimes, if I really need to I go to the super secret basement bathroom, but it is really far away and kinda scary to get to. I guess I just find it embarrassing. When I was younger I would go away to sleepover camp for a week and not poop the entire time. My body just won't let me go.
  • I absolutely will not poop at work unless it becomes obvious that my only other choice is to sh*t my pants. I just hold it until I go home. Sometimes I will go into the cold room and fart. It is stinky in there from all of the bacteria so any odor would be less noticeable in there.

  • I'm so sorry to hear about all of the poop-xiety on our board.

Ladies, let me assure you, everybody poops. Anyone who thinks that you are gross for pooping or farting is also a pooper and farter. Don't make yourselves sick!

  • I'm also a non public pooper. I never poop anywhere but home. It has yet to present a problem for me. Obviously I make exceptions for vacation but then I can only go in our hotel room.

  • I have poop anxiety too, but I also have IBS so waiting until I get home is not an option. When I have to go I HAVE to go. Right away. I can't go if there is someone in one of the other stalls though so I will sit on the toilet holding it in until that person walks out. Or least flushes their toilet so they won't be as likely to hear me. It's terrible. I wish I could get over it but I can't.
  • Stop the poopxiety madness!! I was an "only poop at home" girl too until I was 23 and had a pre cancerous polyp removed from my colon that was the size of a golf ball. My gastroenterologist told me under no uncertain terms was I to hold in a poop ever again and I haven't. Everyone poops, it isn't healthy to hold it in!!

Poor girl!  I am not THAT bad, but when it comes to pooping at work, I can't do it.  Besides, if I can poop in the privacy of my own throne, why not??

  • Super you crack me up.

I work at a school so the employee bathrooms are old but cleaned or redone student bathrooms. I have stomach issuea so sometimes it takes me a little longer to go, and I am definitely embarrassed when someone walks in, pees, washes up and leaves and I am still sitting there.

I'm pro pooping at work.  Why wouldn't you want to get paid for pooping?!?  When you poop at home it's on your own time, but when you do it at work they're paying you for it!

If this isn't reason enough, I don't know what is^^^^

or super models poop, too- so can YOU!

This may be the best thing anyone has said on this board...ever.

My office is right next to the door to the staff bathroom-I've had teachers before tell me that it gives them anxiety to know that I know when they are going to the bathroom.  So, I've agreed to call those teachers and let them know when I go to the bathroom since I know their habits.  That makes them feel better about walking by my office to go into the bathroom.  People are weird!

  • I used to have poop anxiety too. Then I developed Crohn's. there is no way in hell that I could hold it.

I do my best to avoid public pooping but sometimes, if its that or exploding, I go. But I do the poopflush. I flush as I poop. It makes me feel like it will smell less and the flush will hush the sound. At work we only have communal potties. I hate it. That, and as a teacher I can't just up and go when I need to. I have to call the office and ask if someone, like the secretary or copy lady, can come and watch my class. Talk about horrible. Sometimes it can take a while if I really don't feel we'll and when I get back to the room the kids are crazy. Holy walk of shame. As if she doesn't know what I was doing for 10 minutes. Ugh.

I've read that teachers are more likely than the average person to get UTIs because they hold in their pee too often.

When I was teaching in Colombia I would occasionally just run to the bathroom when I had a really good class while my students were engaged in their work, but the bathroom was literally across the path (our rooms were like little huts, there were no hallways because it was outside) from my classroom and I could see my classroom while I washed my hands.  There were some classes that I would never trust for a second unsupervised and there were several occasions when I was standing at the door to my classroom (hut), praying for another teacher to walk by so that I could get them to watch the kids for a minute.

Also, my high school bf couldn't poop OR pee in public restrooms, so if he had to go while at school he would run home because he lived nearby.  That was definitely more information than I needed to know during our 3 month relationship. . .

    SHITBREAK!

That was all I could think when he told me.  And it's now one of the main things I remember when I think about him now.  I'm guessing that's not how he wanted to be remembered by his first gf. . .
