I've always been interested in accents, dialect, etc. I think this stems from moving so often growing up. I love that the English language, unlike some others, does not have a standard plural form of the word "you". Since we seem to have a very diverse group here, I'm curious... how do you say it?

It depends on what part of my family is near me. If I'm up North, it's "you guys." If I'm anywhere with my dad, or anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line, it's "y'all."

Definitely "y'all" for two people. When you get to three or more, it becomes "all y'all," and no, I don't know why.

Here in Pittsburgh it's "yinz" but I can't make myself say that!

Informal setting, usually "you guys". Formal setting, usually "you all". Never y'all, and never EVER "yous"!

Awesome, we finally got a "yous guys"! I'm still holding out for "you'uns" although I should have said "or any variation thereof" because poobear I think "yinz" belongs in that category!
