Pregnant after 35

My name is Daniele and it's been 3 days since I last took a Zofran

I never thought I would be nausea-free again! It's the best feeling in the world! The marks from my sea band bracelets are almost completely faded. I still have some nausea if I eat too much at dinner or if I'm doing something at work that is stinky (like emptying a bedpan or getting a sample) but this feels AWESOME!

I feel like a Disney princess, like there should be little birds singing and alighting on my shoulders and a bevy of little furry creatures at my feet gazing adoringly up at me.

But I'll totally settle for the cat on my lap and the dog at my feet. And the ability to eat, even if it's just little meals. (Anyone else feel very "thick" in the middle and like they're hungry but full at the same time?)

  • YEAH!!! You hit the "magical" point in the pregnancy...enjoy it now but don't get frustrated if it comes back for a few days...it should go away soon for good hopefully.  And yes... the hungry but full thing.  It lasted about 3-4 weeks for me and I still have days that I feel like that, but nothing too crazy.

I'm imagining the birds alighting on your hands and you swirling around the room in a dress, singing to the squirrels and bunnies.  :)

  • Yay you!

And as an aside- I think it's a terrible choice between not pooping or not throwing up with Zofran. I wish they could come up with something that didn't have constipation as a side affect.
  • Ahh its so nice to feel normal again huh? I definitely had the full and hungry feeling alot.  Now I'm at the point of pretty much feeling normal all the time.  I hope this is the end for you or at least more good days than bad ahead :)

  • That's great news! I wish I can feel that way too. I just hit 15 weeks today and I'm still feeling nauseated. Not as bad as before and I'm only throwing up once a day now. I hope to reach what you've reached soon.

  • GUNDY!!! I haven't seen you on here for a long time!

If it makes you feel any better, I still have some moments here and there. Like tonight-- I ate too much Thai food (not even a third of the plate!)...

I still check in every once in a while.  Work blocked access about a month or two ago, so it is Bumping at night or nothing these days.  Try to get on 1-2 times a week to see how everyone is doing.  I miss being on during the day!
