I need suggestions on your convertible carseat....I have heard friends say That Britax is the safest but man are they pricey.... No price can compare to my childs safety, I just want to make sure that I am not spending a hundred extra dollars for nothing. What brand do you have, do you like it? Please give me some tips!! Thanks!!

Re: convertible carseat
We have the Britax Boulevard. DH wanted it for the metal frame, I wanted it because of the extra padding. DD use to scream like crazy in the car, but in her new seat she just plays or sleeps. We have used another seat when we visited my brother & SIL (i think it was Safety 1st) and she screamed the whole time in it too.
It was easy to install, easy to adjust the straps and she seems really comfortable in it. I didn't really want to spend the extra money on it but I'm really glad we did.

We have the Britax Advocate 70. It was pricey, but completely worth it IMO. The metal frame, great padding, etc. My daughter would scream the entire time she was in her carrier. As soon as we installed the Britax, she doesn't scream and only plays or sleeps. She loves that seat, and we do too. We plan to get another one for the hubby's car once we save up for it.
Britax does not have a single bad review. I have nannied for many years. The last family I nannied for had Britax seats(infant ones and convertible). Someone hit them when the twins were newborns, totaled their Expedition XL, but the kids didn't budge. Those seats didn't move. The babies were totally fine, and not injured in any way. To me, that is enough to make me always buy Britax from now on. :-)

We have the Britax Boulevard 70 and the Evenflo Triumph. I can tell my son is much more comfortable in the Boulevard. He always has such issues falling asleep in the Triumph because it is so wide that his head is pretty much flopped onto his shoulder when sleeping in it. The Triumph is also wider than the Boulevard so that is going to be an issue when we have to go three seats across. The straps are easy to adjust on both and they are both fairly easy to install.
Edit: My comment about the sleeping issue is in the forward facing position. He slept fine in it when he was still rear facing.
